I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. At times, that anger is exploited by politicians, to gin up votes along racial lines, or to make up for a politician’s own failings.

The document they produced was eventually signed but ultimately unfinished. And we will keep our promise to every young American – if you commit to serving your community or your country, we will make sure you can afford a college education. The fourth issue that I will address is democracy.
